On their fifth studio album, Love Balloon, Ocean Alley take their listeners on a journey through life and love in all its complexity, anchored by moments of light, vulnerability, and connection. Across its 10 tracks, Love Balloon wears its diverse influences with both reverence and originality, blending disco, funk, soul, and country into Ocean Alley’s signature sound. Working with legendary producer Nick DiDia (Bruce Springsteen, Rage Against the Machine, Powderfinger), the band embraced a stripped-back, more emotionally resonant approach. Each song was recorded with spontaneity and driven by instinct, with a rawness that marks a clear shift from their earlier, more layered and complex records.
